The Fatwood from Goods of the Woods is the resin rich heartwood that is found in decaying pine stumps in southern pine forests. Some call it by other names such as Lighter, Heartwood, and Kindling but these are often not true Fatwood. Fatwood only comes from pine trees and it is the resin rich portion of the pine tree stump that is true Fatwood. The fatwood is so rich in resin that all you need is one or two sticks of Fatwood among your logs Just light the Fatwood and the burning sticks will start your fire in a natural way and gives a delightful aroma.
The Fatwood should only be used in wood fires, wood fireplaces, wood firepits, chimineas and campfires.
